6666 Incentive X Winter Bash
The 6666 Incentive was created with a few goals in mind:
1. Benefit mare AND stallion owners with shared enrollments and payouts
2. Keep the process as straightforward as possible
3. ๐๐๐ฎ ๐ฝ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐จ
How does it work?
1. Breed to a 6666 Incentive-enrolled stallion
2. Pay the matching fee – ๐ฃ๐ค ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ก๐ฎ ๐๐ฃ๐ง๐ค๐ก๐ก๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐จ
3. Foal is automatically eligible for major payouts* at the Winter Bash
Winter Bash (2027โ2031): Horses must pay a $500 event fee to enter.
โ If sire is enrolled โ pay the fee only
โ If sire is not enrolled โ pay the fee AND owner must have one breeding on record for the upcoming breeding season to an enrolled stallion
โ After 2031: Only foals from enrolled stallions can enter
*All 6666 Incentive payouts go towards NCHA lifetime earnings
What Is
CUTTING
Cutting is a western-style equestrian competition in which a horse and rider work together before a judge or panel of judges to demonstrate the horseโs athleticism and ability to handle cattle. Competition utilizes a 2+1โ2 minute performance, called a โrun.โ
Each contestant is assisted by four helpers and is required to make at least two cuts from the herd, one of which must be a cut from deep inside the herd while the other(s) can be peeled from the edges. Once the selected cow has been driven clear of the herd, the contestant commits the horse by dropping the rein hand to feed slack and give the horse its head.
